Christmas Lyric Trail

We have teamed up with West Northamptonshire Council to stage an interactive Christmas song lyric trail around the town centre throughout December. Using the LoyalFree app, visitors to the town will be given a list of locations to visit where they need to answer questions and complete the lyrics from favourite Christmas songs. The LoyalFree app can be downloaded by visiting www.loyalfree.co.uk/download or by searching for ‘LoyalFree’ in your app store. The Christmas Song Lyric Trail is delivered by Northampton Town Centre BID and funded by West Northamptonshire Council.

Golden Ticket Giveaway Competition

Enter our Golden Ticket Giveaway for the chance to win one of four £500 vouchers to spend in the town centre. Our popular Golden Ticket giveaway will be launching on Saturday 18th November as part of the Wonka-themed Family Fun Day in Grosvenor Shopping Northampton. Available in town centre shops and businesses, visitors have the chance to pick up their Golden Ticket and post into one of the 10 specially commissioned post boxes found around the town. Festive Celebration in Northampton’s Cultural Quarter

Jazz bands and street entertainers will provide the festive cheer as shoppers enjoy Christmas shopping in St Giles Street on Saturday, 2nd December. Acts will include Musical Ruth, Elton Wrong, the Bad Santas, a juggling unicyclist and stilt-walking ice queens. Montague Jeffery and Vintage Guruwill also be staging live music performances. The BID has successfully applied for a road closure order on this date so shoppers will be able to walk freely down the street and cafes and restaurants will be able to trade outside on the pavements, creating a welcoming community feel to the day. Come along between 11am and 4.30pm and get all the Christmas feels as we kickstart the festive season in style.

Wonka Family Fun Day

‘Win Your Christmas’ by taking part in this year’s Golden Ticket giveaway – to be launched by Willy Wonka at a family fun day! The Wonka-themed event will be held from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, 18th November in Grosvenor Shopping Northampton and will feature character walkabouts, stilt walkers, hula hoopers, balloon modelling and face painting. The ever-popular Golden Ticket giveaway will see four lucky winners each win £500 as part of the £2,000 prize fund, simply by hand-posting an entry ticket into special BID post boxes found in 10 town centre locations from Saturday, 18th November onwards. Tickets are available from retailers around the town throughout the festive period.

Diwali Lights Festival

10am-4pm: stalls selling cultural food and drinks, community stalls. 1pm - 4pm: Cultural experiences - traditional cultural game Karom, arts and crafts, henna painting, Sareer dressing, exhibitions by local community groups plus more. performances from members of Northampton community groups 4pm: Music with Mark Dean of Inspiration FM 4PM - 4:30PM: Welcome dignitaries and candle lighting by Dignitaries 4:30pm - 5:30pm: performances by young people 5:30pm: performances by young people 6pm - 7pm: preparation for Diwali procession 7pm - 8pm: Raj Tilak - Welcoming back of lord Ram Short speeches by dignitaries.
