Skate into the New Year in Northampton! Visitors to the Market Square and town centre can enjoy a day of free winter skating and activities between 11am and 6pm on Saturday, 18th January. Activities include: - Winter Skating Rink with skate aids for children - @thesilentdiscoproject New Year’s Party Sessions - get your dancing shoes ready! - @lemonpopacademy will be offering ‘make and take’ activities where budding artists can also colour in the ‘Winter Wonderland in Northampton’ community canvas - Children’s ‘have a go’ Curling Lane - Face painting with @vividstrokesbyamie  - Yummy treats from @sweetchimneycake  - Children’s Fun Fair Rides Northampton Town Council have partnered with @westnorthants and @northamptonbid to organise this one-off event, after the Becket’s Park Winter Wonderland date was cancelled due to bad weather in the lead-up to Christmas. Beat the January blues, get the kids out the house, support our local businesses and join us for a day of fantastic free family fun in the heart of the town! Shoppers and visitors can enjoy all things festive in Northampton town centre this Saturday! Elf Takeover and Grinch Surprise at the Market Square See Santa in his Grosvenor Shopping Northampton grotto hosted by Northampton Town BID Free ice skating, entertainment, kid's crafts, horse and carriage rides, Silent Disco and much more at our Christmas in Becket's Park event, 12 - 6pm

Saturday, 7 December – Elf Takeover and Grinch-y Surprise!
Get ready for fun-filled activities from 11am to 3pm, as the Market Square is taken over by elves performing stilt-walking, juggling, and face painting. A mischievous Grinch-inspired character will also make a guest appearance, offering fantastic photo opportunities as they stroll around spreading holiday cheer. In addition, WNC is supporting Small Business Saturday and encourages everyone to support small retailers and traders across West Northants and celebrate the contribution small businesses make to our communities.

Join us to celebrate Diwali, with cultural food and drink, community stalls, live stage entertainment, henna painting, arts and crafts, saree dressing and the spectacular Diwali lantern procession and magical parade, featuring breathtaking giant puppets including Harminder the elephant. Celebrate the magical 24th Annual Diwali Festival of Lights in Northampton Northampton's Diwali Festival of Lights is set to take place on Saturday 26th October in the town centre, with stalls and entertainment from 10am, followed by a magical light parade at dusk. This annual community festival, organised by Northampton Indian Hindu Welfare Organisation and supported by Northampton Town Council, Northampton Town Centre BID and West Northamptonshire Council, is now in its 24th year.
