The dinosaurs are coming!
Schools across Northampton have been invited to take part in something special that will give families from your school an experience to remember forever.
When and where
A collection of dinosaurs will appear throughout Market Square and Abington Street between 11am and 4pm and other parts of the town centre on Saturday, July 24, as Northampton will be transported back to the Jurassic era, with a host of activities lined up for young adventurers.
Characters including Ritchie the Raptor, Zeus the T Rex and Tank the Triceratops will entertain the crowds on July 24 with retailers and food outlets also backing the event in the three-week period from 24 July to August 14 with ‘Dino diner meal deals’ in cafes and restaurants and other food outlets, special offers and ticketed activities.
Lesson plan
To build excitement, schools in Northampton will be given a dinosaur lesson plan and resources aimed at Key Stage 1 children, with accompanying dinosaur outlines.
Order leaflets and stickers
As well as your lesson plan, schools can also order free leaflets and sheets of stickers, just fill in the form below:
Sharing dinosaur pictures
We would also encourage your children to create dinosaur-related pictures so we can share on them on our Facebook, using the hashtag, #Northamptondinosaurs. Or, email them to promotions@northamptonbid.co.uk.
Organised by
The event is being staged by Northampton Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID), a group run by business owners to make Northampton a better place to live, shop and work.
