Now, as he releases his new album ‘Music Man’, Ireland’s top entertainer Nathan Carter has announced a brand new UK tour. Born in Liverpool to Irish parents from County Down, Nathan Carter has released 13 studio albums and 6 live albums, with a sound that traverses pop, Irish folk, country music and timeless ballads. With tracks such as Wagon Wheel and I Wanna Dance becoming huge hits, he is one of Ireland’s biggest artists, who has outsold One Direction, Pharrell Williams and Michael Bublé. He also became the first Irish country act to reach number 1 in the Irish charts in 2013 after Garth Brooks, six years before. The National Theatre Connections Festival is a celebration of young people, theatre and the importance of access to the arts. Each year the National Theatre commissions a collection of new plays for young people to perform, bringing together some of the UK’s most exciting writers with the theatre-makers of tomorrow. Royal & Derngate hosts the largest and most diverse of the regional festivals that take place across the country, and we are delighted to welcome hundreds of young people to Northampton again this Spring. Royal and Derngate’s own Young Company: Acting Group will be taking part in the festival performing Saba’s Swim by Danusia Samal. The Real Thing, with original vocalists Chris Amoo & Dave Smith, are on tour promoting their first new album of original material in 44 years, A Brand New Day. They also have their new soulful single Hang On Never Let Go this track will be special for all the lovers who grew up listening to their classic hits. Rob has written ten hit Edinburgh Festival Fringe comedy/theatre/spoken-word shows on specific themes including the colour yellow in The Yellow Show, sleep in The Sleep Show and hair in The Hair Show. The Eyes Open and Shut Show is a show about eyes when they are open and eyes when they are shut. With this show Rob wanted to explore what he could do to himself and others with language when eyes are open and shut. After writing ten shows on specific themes, he wanted to think about what makes him open his eyes and what makes him shut them.
