In this exhibition we take a closer look at the design, technology, cultural influences and environmental impact of the trainer and showcase our own trainer collection, the largest owned by a public institution.

Technique provides an opportunity to look beyond the artist and subject matter and gain a greater understanding into how artworks are created across a variety of media. On display will be a wide cross-section of works from our Fine Art collection including drawings, prints oil paintings, sculpture and watercolours as well as key pieces from our collections of Textile Art and Studio Pottery

Bounce and Rhyme at Northamptonshire Central Library
Northampton Central Library Abington Street, Northampton, Northamptonshire, United KingdomSessions to introduce rhymes and songs to your child to encourage interaction and develop communication skills. Please note that the Bounce and Rhyme sessions will be run on a first-come, first-serve basis on the day and it will not be possible to book in advance. This event is running at a reduced capacity to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers. Parents and Carers can collect a ticket from the front desk on the Friday morning at 10am. This event is for under 1s and non-walkers only.
Preston Hedges Trust Presents – A Tempest Experience
Royal and Derngate Theatre 19-21 Guildhall Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 1DPAll the schools in the Preston Hedges Trust have been working with Silhouette Youth to create an original work around Shakespeare’s play, The Tempest. Each school will perform a piece of drama, a piece of dance and an original song, written by them, in response to the play. This is a true celebration of the power of the Performing Arts and how Shakespeare’s work is more relevant today then it has ever been. We can’t wait to show you what we have created.
