Jack And The Beanstalk – Royal & Derngate

A GIANT OF A PANTOMIME! Don’t miss our spectacular rags to riches pantomime for all the family Jack And The Beanstalk.

Join Jack and The Good Fairy as they climb the beanstalk to do battle with the Giant… it will be a Fe-Fi-Fo-Fun show!

Vocal powerhouse Keala Settle, star of global blockbuster movie The Greatest Showman, stars as Fairy Sugarsnap, alongside Horrible Histories and Swashbuckle’s Richard David-Caine as the baddie. The hilarious Bob Golding returns to Royal & Derngate as Dame Trott, and the wonderful Alex Lodge, who appeared as Dick Whittington last year, is back as Jack!

Written by Paul Hendy, it is produced by Evolution, the same team behind last year’s smash hit Dick Whittington, and winners of the 2021 British Pantomime Award for Best Panto. In this exhibition we take a closer look at the design, technology, cultural influences and environmental impact of the trainer and showcase our own trainer collection, the largest owned by a public institution.

This exhibition, for all ages, explores the processes artists go through to produce their work and the techniques they employ. Technique provides an opportunity to look beyond the artist and subject matter and gain a greater understanding into how artworks are created across a variety of media. On display will be a wide cross-section of works from our Fine Art collection including drawings, prints oil paintings, sculpture and watercolours as well as key pieces from our collections of Textile Art and Studio Pottery

Bounce and Rhyme at Northamptonshire Central Library

Sessions to introduce rhymes and songs to your child to encourage interaction and develop communication skills. Please note that the Bounce and Rhyme sessions will be run on a first-come, first-serve basis on the day and it will not be possible to book in advance. This event is running at a reduced capacity to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers. Parents and Carers can collect a ticket from the front desk on the Friday morning at 10am. This event is for under 1s and non-walkers only.
