Celebrating the music of the legends that have played in our historic venue over the decades. Nene Valley Community Band, Abington Wind Band and OpenStage Choir join together to bring to life music of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Cilla Black, Eric Clapton, Ben E King and Helen Shapiro. The band will play hits including ‘Here Comes The Sun’, ‘Let it Be’, ‘Wild Horses’ and many more!
To tie in with The Great British Spring Clean, which this year runs from 25 March to 10 April, the BID is inviting businesses and the community to join us for a morning of litter picking across the town centre.

The training shoe has been around for over 100 years but in the last 50 years it has developed into a multibillion dollar global industry. In this exhibition we take a closer look at the design, technology, cultural influences and environmental impact of the trainer and showcase our own trainer collection, the largest owned by a public institution.
Bob Dawson worked as a sculptor and art tutor for over 50 years. Based in a studio in Wollaston, Northamptonshire this celebrated and prolific sculptor’s practice involved both the naturalistic and beautifully abstract. Dawson’s work creates a serenity and quietness in which to contemplate the shifting and changing nature of life.
This exhibition, for all ages, explores the processes artists go through to produce their work and the techniques they employ. Technique provides an opportunity to look beyond the artist and subject matter and gain a greater understanding into how artworks are created across a variety of media. On display will be a wide cross-section of works from our Fine Art collection including drawings, prints oil paintings, sculpture and watercolours as well as key pieces from our collections of Textile Art and Studio Pottery

Thursday 8 September - Thursday 1 December (no session 20, 27 October and 3 November) 1 - 2pm £40 for the 10 week course Do you love to dance? Come and move with us in this creative, relaxed contemporary dance session for the over 65s. Open to participants from all backgrounds and abilities who are able to move independently, this is a great opportunity to experience the enjoyment of dance and be creative together whilst gaining the physical and mental benefits from participating in dance.Everyone is welcome! Our Knit and Natter group meets every Tuesday in the Young Adult area on Ground Floor to knit, crochet and have a good chat!
