Well-known amongst the local art community for her gregarious personality, Elke Pollard created a wide body of work in a variety of media and styles predominantly colourful large-scale portraits and floral still lifes. Alongside her art, Pollard worked as a designer and seamstress. This exhibition will showcase art and design highlights from the life of this influential and prominent Northampton artist.

Coming soon, an exhibition in The Temporary Exhibition Gallery at Northampton Museums and Art Gallery Northampton Museum and Art Gallery Saturday 16 March - Sunday 9 June 2024 Vivienne Westwood was seen as the Grand Dame of fashion design for over 50 years. Her work with partner Malcolm McLaren defined the look of punk in the 1970s and subsequent fashion collections shaped the fashion world of the late twentieth century. This exhibition showcases a small part of an extensive personal collection that features her iconic shoes and outfits from her career defining collections such as Seditionairies, favoured by the Sex Pistols and Pirate. The Vivienne Westwood brand was not involved in the curation or organisation of this exhibition.

This exhibition is a presentation of this central stream of modern art production, investigating abstract art’s unique voice, freedom of expression and artistic origins.

NN Project Space at Vulcan Works, Fetter Street, NN1 1EW Opening Hours Wed - Sat 11am - 5pm   Featuring: Emma Davies,  Annabelle Shelton Priya Chohan-Padia, Stuart Moore, Dylan Fox, Minnie Teckman, Emi Fujisawa, and Carol Jacobs   From April 4th to April 13th the exhibition will feature creative works stemming from a year-long project developed in Northampton.   Led by Emma Davies and Annabelle Shelton, Lead Artists for C2C Social Action, along with six artists, this iteration expanded on a project initiated by Sally Sheinman in 2019. Collaborating with three organizations across Northampton, Shelton worked with women participants from C2C, while Davies led artists working with mixed groups at Sol Haven and Northampton Hope Centre. Through artist-led workshops and a person-centered approach, participants explored various art forms, fostering collaboration and expression. The exhibition highlights the transformative influence of art within the A-I-R program, enriching the cultural landscape and advocating for inclusivity.
