Punk took the world by storm, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to inspire and provoke people today. The young people of Northamptonshire were as inspired by punk as the rest of the country - they formed bands, set up music and clothing stores and managed punk nights. This major exhibition follows the Punk: Rage & Revolution exhibition at Leicester Museum and Art Gallery and explores fashion, music, the local gig scene and much more.

Well-known amongst the local art community for her gregarious personality, Elke Pollard created a wide body of work in a variety of media and styles predominantly colourful large-scale portraits and floral still lifes. Alongside her art, Pollard worked as a designer and seamstress. This exhibition will showcase art and design highlights from the life of this influential and prominent Northampton artist.

One Night Of Elvis

A show dedicated to preserving the respect of the greatest entertainer of all time, Elvis Presley. Lee Memphis King faithfully recreates an Elvis performance with the authenticity and passion of an Elvis concert. Hear all of the hits like Heartbreak Hotel, The Wonder Of You, Suspicious Minds and many more in this two hour epic performance. Over the last 10 years as Lee has toured his One Night of Elvis he has picked up numerous accolades and has headlined and sold out some of the most prestigious venues across the UK and beyond. In August 2016 he completed a sell out concert tour of Israel, performing to over 8000 fans. In this latest production, Lee Memphis King portrays Elvis Presley at his peak celebrating the iconic ‘Vegas Years’ from 1969 – 1977. The show is enhanced by an orchestra of world class musicians and backing vocalists coupled with impressive video screen projection mapping out Elvis’s life and music. Step inside the ‘delightful’ abode of Dunedin Guest House, run by tight fisted but kind-hearted Bert. It would be his seaside paradise, if it weren’t for all the guests. The paper might be hanging off the walls, the roof may spring the odd leak, and the bar selection is definitely questionable, but with his handy assistant (and unrequited love) Emily by his side, Bert’s house could be a Bed & Breakfast on the brink of a great love story. But with the arrival of pesky guests and a new employee to juggle, Bert needs to keep his wits about him – what are the Robinsons up to? Is Jane really who she says she is? And why is Mr Stevens such a tw*t? £4 per child per session Join us for our popular hands-on and fun pre-school sessions for the under-fives. Explore the museum through stories, music, art and craft activities whilst making new friends and creating memories in an engaging and family friendly environment. These sessions are for pre-school children (from 2.5 to 5 years) and their parents and carers. Held on Friday mornings during term time with a different theme each week. Refreshments are included and booking essential as places are limited.
