Sinfonia Viva: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, “Eroica”

Royal and Derngate Theatre 19-21 Guildhall Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 1DP

Conductor Delyana Lazarova brings her dynamic and electrifying conducting style to Northampton with Sinfonia Viva, the orchestra of the East Midlands, in one of Beethoven’s most celebrated works. Beethoven’s Symphony No.3 is a bold musical statement that revels in drama and flamboyance, igniting the spark for what became the Romantic period. Exciting young Israeli pianist Ariel Lanyi joins the orchestra for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20. A piece very much admired by Beethoven, the concerto is an inspiring statement of musical joy, brought to life by the intense virtuosity of Lanyi’s precise and lyrical playing.
