A Musical by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth The death of a much-loved husband prompts a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women’s Institute to raise money for charity by doing an extraordinary thing – creating a ‘nude’ calendar. This musical, based on the true story and the hit film Calendar Girls, is coming to Royal & Derngate in November. Having performed over 30 shows on the Derngate stage, including most recently Shrek The Musical and Made In Dagenham, Northampton Musical Theatre Company return once again to perform this heartwarming and funny story by Tim Firth, accompanied with music and lyrics by Gary Barlow. Nene Valley Community Band, Abington Wind Band and OpenStage Choir join together to bring to life music of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Cilla Black, Eric Clapton, Ben E King and Helen Shapiro.
