Over the last 10 years as Lee has toured his One Night of Elvis he has picked up numerous accolades and has headlined and sold out some of the most prestigious venues across the UK and beyond. In August 2016 he completed a sell out concert tour of Israel, performing to over 8000 fans. In this latest production, Lee Memphis King portrays Elvis Presley at his peak celebrating the iconic ‘Vegas Years’ from 1969 – 1977.
London-based Swiss pianist, composer and singer Fabienne Ambuehl leads a quartet that is rhythmically compelling, lyrical and evocative. Her lyrical jazz takes the listener from the calm of mountain landscapes deep into the buzz of city life. Ambuehl’s compositions have a striking energy and dynamism while also painting details with a subtle brush. Her vocals sweep across wide emotional terrain, using her own lyrics as well as poems by Emily Dickinson, D.H. Lawrence and others. Working with Matt Ridley (The Antidote, The Darius Brubeck Quartet) and Jon Scott (Mulatu Astatke, GoGo Penguin), and Ant Law (Trio HLK, Same Moon in the Same World, Brigitte Beraha), three of the most experienced and in demand musicians on the London scene, Ambuehl’s music explores a variety of colour and texture with clearly communicated ideas and alert interaction within the band.
