Othello RE:MX takes place in a post-apocalyptic, industrial setting. This much-shortened version of Shakespeare’s famous tragedy concentrates on the background of Othello and relationship between Othello and Iago. Things start to go wrong when Desdemona and Cassio appear on the scene and they all career towards a climactic finish through their dystopian setting against a backdrop of industrial electronic music, digital dreams and dark landscapes. The piece incorporates dance, poignant snippets of Shakespeare’s text, creative captions and BSL.

The Royal & Derngate Community Choir are being supported by Northampton Community Foundation to tour some Christmas cheer in December 2022. This amazing group, led by local Musical Director Gareth Fuller, are putting their unique spin on well-loved Christmas songs and writing their own unique uplifting song, inspired by Northampton. The RDCC Christmas Cheer Tour will be an opportunity to spread happiness, to inspire and entertain and for the group to have their debut tour. We recognise how vital singing and community groups are to wellbeing and wish to celebrate what is good in the county and the town through song.
