I’m delighted to announce the launch of our Baby and Infant Food Bank!
The arrival of my baby girl, Maisie, in October has truly opened my eyes to the escalating costs associated with raising a young child. It’s disheartening to realise that these expenses only seem to multiply as our little ones reach new milestones. Fortunately, I find myself in a privileged position where I can manage to provide Maisie with everything she needs.
However, I’m acutely aware that many families are facing dire circumstances, forced to make heartbreaking choices between meals, accumulating debt, or even resorting to breaking the law to meet their children’s needs.
This realisation has emphasized the critical importance of food banks. At A-Plan Northampton, we strongly believe that we can make a meaningful difference in this area.
Therefore, for the next two weeks, we are organizing a collection drive dedicated to gathering essential items for babies and infants. We welcome contributions of all kinds, including clothes, blankets, baby formula, and purees.
Our goal is to alleviate some of the burdens faced by families in our community, providing them with the support they need during this crucial stage of their children’s lives.
Together, we can make a positive impact and offer a helping hand to those who need it most.
