Diwali Celebrations 2021

Diwali celebrations will return to the town centre on Saturday, October 30th, 10am-8pm.

The event has become the biggest Diwali celebration in the county and sees hundreds of visitors join to celebrate the event which will consist of entertainment in the Market Square and a parade along Abington Street and St Giles Street.

In support of the Diwali celebrations, the BID is encouraging businesses on the parade route to light up and decorate their window displays within the theme of Diwali. Food & drink businesses may also wish to distribute food and drink samples for members of the public to enjoy.

Over the coming weeks BID Hosts will be visiting businesses along the parade route to spread awareness and encourage engagement with the event.
