78 Derngate have announced that they will be re-opening on TUESDAY MAY 18, with online bookings now available.
VisualISE Textile Group will launch their re-opening with an exciting exhibition.
Entitled ‘Visualise at 78’, the exhibition will display a wide array of contemporary stitched art textiles, a lot of which take inspiration from Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
This stunning exhibition of contemporary stitched art textiles is brought to them by the Visualise Textile Group (formerly known as ISE) which was formed several years ago by like-minded artists all of whom enjoy creating diverse work with stitch as the common thread.
On display are abstract, realistic and figurative art using a wide variety of media, including paper, fabric of all types and found objects which are all felted or hand and machine stitched, to create art inspired both by the natural world and the built environment.
This exhibition includes work inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and 78 Derngate, in particular and can not be missed.
The Dining Room will then re-open on June 1st.
