Despite coronavirus delaying their planned opening in Northampton town centre, Saints Coffee founders Ben and Nicola are giving their customers an opportunity to taste their delicious signature coffees now by ordering through their new web shop! This includes their Saints House blend and Saints Breaking New Ground single origin coffees.
Ben said, “We moved back to Northampton specifically to start a coffee shop to help support the town and community and help bring some more joy and pride back to Northampton. We know there are some excellent businesses in town and it was important to us to bring a new high quality, expertly crafted and ethical coffee that tastes amazing to Northampton.
We’ve done our research! We visited coffee farms, roasters and coffee shops in Central and South America, Africa and Asia to hone our understanding and then worked with social enterprise coffee roasters in the UK for months to bring a new specialty coffee to Northampton.
Despite our plans to open earlier this year, as a social enterprise we are passionate about pushing forward with some of the goals we set out to reach such as supporting and promoting anti-discrimination, helping vulnerable people in our society and working with local schools to help inspire less advantage students. We’re already working with six schools and once we’re able to open properly we have some exciting plans to support mental health and tackle loneliness.
Although we hadn’t planned to start online first, we’ve had an amazing response to our opening and brilliant support from local businesses and customers with lots of orders in already from Northampton, the UK and further afield. It’s made us very proud to be shipping products from a Northampton coffee shop as far as San Francisco, Dubai, Hong Kong and Australia!”
