Before this role I was working in a customer service role for a catering company, I have always loved being able to help people and create great experiences for customers. Now I get to embrace that passion in a more diverse and challenging role. I love learning new things and meeting new people, which makes this role is perfect for me.
My first few weeks have been great. I have learnt lots from my fantastic colleagues and met some great people working hard around the town. I was surprised at how vast and diverse our town centre is. It is easy to become ‘siloed’ in our own worlds and not embrace our surroundings. However, exploring the town each day how utterly fantastic it is.
Northampton town centre is so vibrant and with so much more potential. In our town centre we have some fantastic food and drink venues, where I probably spend too much of my weekend. We also have a collection of quirky and cool independent stores around the town, as well as well known brands.
I am currently working on the Food and Drink directory for the summer. I think this will be a fantastic opportunity for businesses to get their name out there, so that when we have events, visitors can see the massive variety of food and drink venues that we have to offer.
Bailey will be working alongside Kimberley Herbert, who has recently been promoted to BID Project Support Executive.
